Please check local news outlets for announcements of delays or closures because of inclement weather. Look for the specific words “Supreme Court Building” or “NM Supreme Court Building” because we DO NOT follow announcements for the public schools or other state government entities in Santa Fe.
The Court is located at 237 Don Gaspar Ave., Santa Fe, NM, alongside the Santa Fe River on the corner of Don Gaspar and Alameda. While there are some parking meter spaces near the building, most parking is reserved. However, there is free parking available a block away from the building at a public parking garage across from the Roundhouse.
The garage is located on the corner of Paseo de Peralta and Galisteo, and the following link provides a map showing where that parking garage is located and a walking route from the garage to the Supreme Court Building. When you arrive at the Court, please enter through the large, double brass doors at the front of the building. Disability parking and access is available at the South Entrance of the building on East De Vargas.
Tours of the historic Supreme Court Building are provided throughout the year.
Individuals and groups interested in a tour of the Supreme Court Building should submit a request using the form below. Tours of the building usually take 45 minutes to an hour. Tour request must be made two weeks in advance. Request a tour.
Court Administration
All requests for information should be made through the Clerk’s Office.
Please keep in mind, however, that the Court and its staff cannot perform legal research or provide legal advice for you. The Court does not issue advisory opinions or conduct investigations. The Court only rules on matters brought before it pursuant to the Rules of Appellate Procedure. Please also understand that any comments, complaints, opinions, or suggestions you have about the disposition of pending cases cannot be submitted to the Justices by Court staff because the Justices are strictly prohibited from receiving or considering ex parte communications in a pending or impending case. For more information, please see Rule 23-113 NMRA.
